Southwinds Retirement Home, Inc. has been providing quality services for senior citizens of our community since its founding in 1884. In 1989, Southwinds acquired the former Sheraton Inn at 70 Fulton Street. Under the direction of our Board of Directors, major renovations transformed this beautiful hotel into a retirement community serving 135 residents.
Southwinds Retirement Home is a private not-for-profit organization overseen by a diverse and dedicated Board of Directors, many of whom are community leaders, health care professionals, and business people in Orange County.
We are licensed by the New York State Department of Health to operate our adult care facility and work with all State and County Agencies to ensure that our Home is a Special Place for Special Years.

Our Adult Day Program can be a solution to your daily care needs on days when you can’t be home. We provide a comfortable environment, with a social setting that preserves their dignity and independence, but with quality support and monitoring that they now need.
